Short courses are either based on modules from the taught natural resource courses combined with one-to-one tuition or are tailored courses designed specifically for the participants.
Standard short courses are delivered using modules from a variety of MSc courses, including Agroforestry, Conservation & Land Management, Environmental Forestry and International Natural Resource Development (formerly Rural Resource Management-ORD) & Sustainable Agriculture. The dates for these courses are fixed at the beginning of each year. Some flexibility of content, based on special in-house tutorials and modules from other Schools within the Bangor University or other external environmental training providers is possible.
These courses are ideal for those rural development workers who cannot spend long periods away from their place of work, but want exposure to recent scientific advances. They are a flexible option for extending knowledge and professional skills.
In addition, we offer a small number of specialised short courses on a regular basis, and can also provide custom-built short courses tailored to individual or organisational needs.
Specialised and custom courses require a minimum of 6 people before they will be run, and most have a maximum of 12 participants.
All courses can be offered on an "accredited" basis for an additional fee. This allows you to build up credits towards a higher degree in any institution that recognises the UK quality control. |
